Chidinma: "I have never imagined I could, someday, walked out my village."

As I sit down to reflect on my journey so far, I am overwhelmed with a sense of gratitude and accomplishment. My name is Chidinma, and I come from a poor village in Nigeria. I never thought that I would have the opportunity to work in a big city, let alone be a part of a valuable international organization such as the World Health Organization.

The journey to where I am today has not been easy. Growing up, my family struggled to make ends meet, and I knew that education was my only way out. I worked hard in school and was determined to create a better life for myself and my family. However, the road to success was not without its obstacles.

Despite the challenges, I persevered and continued to work hard. I was always on the lookout for opportunities to gain more knowledge and experience through the training and advice from International Organization Bridge (IO Bridge). It was during my final year in college that I learned about the internship program at the World Health Organization. The opportunity to work for such a renowned organization was too good to pass up, and I applied immediately.

When I received the news that I had been selected for the internship, I was beyond thrilled. It felt like all my hard work had finally paid off. But, as excited as I was, I was also nervous. This would be my first time working in a big city, and I didn't know what to expect. However, I knew that this was an opportunity of a lifetime, and I was determined to make the most of it.

During my internship, I learned so much about the workings of a large organization and the impact that they have on the world. I was able to work alongside some of the most brilliant minds in the industry, and their passion for their work was contagious. The experience was both humbling and inspiring.

Looking back on my journey, I am amazed at how far I have come. From a poor village in Nigeria to working for the World Health Organization because of IO Bridge, I have achieved things that I never thought possible. This experience has taught me the value of hard work, determination, and perseverance. I am grateful for the opportunities that have come my way, and I am excited to see what the future holds.

In conclusion, thanks to the help and training by IO Bridge, my internship at the World Health Organization has been a life-changing experience for me. It has opened doors that I never thought existed and has given me a newfound appreciation for the value of education and hard work. I hope that my story can inspire others who may be going through similar struggles to keep pushing forward and never give up on their dreams.
